About Us

About us

Trips to Japan for people living in North America, planned from Toronto and Vancouver.

Our Philosophy

We know Japan inside out,
and we build your trip in your time zone.

As the Canadian arm of the IACE group, founded in 1970, we have supported travellers with Japanese attention to detail and North American convenience. Classic circuits and little-known preservation-district towns get the same careful handling.

Born in Ichinomiya, Aichi. I joined IACE in 1998 and have been with our Canadian offices since 2004. My hobby is going to baseball games on my own, and in summer I work up a sweat in a Toronto baseball league. Going out for drinks with clients is part of my lifestyle too, and my Friday-night izakaya appearance rate is fairly high. A Caribbean and Europe cruise in 2014 got me hooked on cruising, and my goal for the near future is to sail from Vancouver to Japan. I will not let it stay a dream!

Born in Fukuoka. I fell for Toronto, a multicultural city where every kind of person lives side by side, and moved to Canada in 2005. With my travel-industry experience from Japan to build on, I graduated from the tourism program at Seneca College and joined the IACE Toronto office in 2012. My favourite places include Miyajima, Las Vegas and Havana, Cuba. They are destinations unlike anywhere else, and they have stayed with me. I will make sure your trip is safe, smooth and fun. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I handle the United States. I am from Okinawa, and I am still nowhere near used to Toronto winters. I travel to wild, natural places when I can. The northern lights or the Grand Canyon is next on my list.

I look after Chicago. I have relatives in Ottawa and visit often, and along Highway 401 between Toronto and Ottawa there is a place called The Big Apple. The apple pie and apple cake are delicious and it is one of my favourite stops, so do go if you have the chance. Look for the giant apple!

Born in Shiga Prefecture. I first came to Toronto during university, and I could never forget the mix of cultures and the people I met, so I came back after graduating. Toronto has restaurants from every corner of the world, and on my days off I hunt for good ones. A few times a year I make the trip to Niagara. Seeing the falls change with the seasons is one of the joys of my life here.

I love gardens. (The photo is Korakuen, one of the three great gardens of Japan!!) In Toronto I recommend Allan Gardens, a free conservatory you can enjoy even on the coldest days. If you have a favourite peaceful spot of your own, please tell me about it!

I am from Chiba Prefecture. While working at a Tokyo Disney Resort hotel, I decided I wanted to try travelling abroad on my own, and landed in Canada, which is relatively safe and has big cities and nature both. The multicultural side of it won me over, and I enrolled at a university in Toronto. These days I do my best every day with the support of professional colleagues. I have a serious sweet tooth, so I drop into the countless cafés and restaurants from every country across Toronto and share my finds with my roommate.

I came to Canada as a student at 19, and more than ten years have already gone by. I stayed because I love how time flows more slowly here than in Japan. From the vast landscapes of Canada to the United States and other favourite destinations, I will help you build a trip worth remembering. Whatever you have in mind, do not hesitate to ask.

Born in Yamagata Prefecture. I came to Canada in 2021 while still enrolled at university, and graduated from my university and a Canadian college around the same time before joining the IACE Vancouver office. I love animals and nature. The sweeping scenery and wildlife of Canada won me over, and I decided to stay. I will give my all to make your trip an unforgettable one. Even if you are only at the thinking-about-it stage, please get in touch!

After five years in the travel industry in Japan, I spent a year in Vancouver studying English. Life brought me back to Vancouver after I returned home, and back into travel work as well. I will do everything I can to make your trip comfortable and truly memorable.
