A special pass, available only to overseas residents, that gives you unlimited rides on JR lines and shinkansen nationwide. IACE sells and supports it in Canada. Regional Passes

View over the thatched farmhouses of Shirakawa-go, ringed by rice paddies and forest

Since the nationwide pass price increase in 2023, a regional pass is often the right answer for a trip of around two weeks. We compare the area passes from the JR companies, and the four we stock can be bought online right away.

  • Takayama-Hokuriku, Hokuriku Arch, Sanyo-San’in, and JR East-South Hokkaido are in stock
  • Other passes can be arranged on request

How to Choose

The honest order for choosing a pass

  1. 01 Lock in your route first

Rail costs are set by where you go. Buy the pass after that.

  2. 02 Price it three ways

Nationwide pass, regional pass, individual tickets. Buy whichever is cheapest. That is all there is to it.

  3. 03 Or just hand it over

Send us your route. Someone who runs this math every day will answer.

  4. 04 The 10-day rule

Online purchase closes 10 days before departure. After that, call us.
